<br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />Clive City Council Meeting <br />Work/Regular Session <br />Thursday, May 19, 2011 <br /> <br />The work session/regular meeting of the Clive City Council was held Thursday, May 19, 2011 at <br />Clive City Hall at 6:30 p.m. Mayor Cirksena presided and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br />Council members present were: Edwards, Klein, Weaver. Absent: Brody, Leighton. <br /> <br />Edwards moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Klein. Roll Call: Ayes: Edwards, Klein, Weaver. <br /> <br />Nays: None. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The Assistant City Manager presented a City Service & Program Review proposal, with an <br />overview of the three components. The Mayor and Council members offered comments and <br />ideas, as well as posing questions. <br /> <br />Klein moved to proceed with the City Service & Program Review process, seconded by Weaver. <br />Ayes: Edwards, Klein, Weaver. Motion carried. <br /> <br />MD Isley, 7760 Hoover St., Indianola, of Bravo Greater Des Moines, discussed the proposed 28E <br />Agreement renewal that will be on the June 2 agenda for Council consideration. He expressed <br />his thanks for the support of the Council. <br /> <br />nd <br />Craig Erickson, 805 52 Place, West Des Moines, representative of the Clive Chamber of <br />Commerce provided an update of activities and programs. <br /> <br />Edwards moved to approve the Special Park Use Permit for the Clive Running Festival to be held on <br />6-18-11, 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., seconded by Weaver. Roll Call: Ayes: Edwards, Klein, Weaver. <br />Nays: None. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 946 <br />Edwards moved that , AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CLIVE CITY <br />CODE 2008, BY RESTATING THE PROVISIONS RELATING TO BICYCLE REGULATIONS <br />AND REGISTRATION having been considered by the council for the first time, be voted on for <br /> <br />
