All signified aye, motion <br /> approvetL <br /> Barnes made a motion to approve the consent items, seconded by Easley: All signified aye, <br /> motion approvetL <br /> There were no citizen presentations. <br /> Urban Deer Management—Buck Incentive Program: <br /> Bill Bunger from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources attended the meeting and spoke to <br /> the Board about the Buck Incentive Program. If Board were to proceed with a buck incentive <br /> program, staff would draft a revision to the ordinance for Board consideration and recommenda- <br /> tion to the City Council as well as draft an amendment to the policy to allow for the program. <br /> No action was taken by the BoartL <br /> Greenbelt Trail and Park System Review: <br /> As a component of the City Council's Strategic Plan, they have requested that the Board take a <br /> look at the Greenbelt Trail and Park System by reviewing the 2009 Comprehensive Parks, <br /> Recreation and Open Space Plan. A report of completed projects and future capital improvement <br /> projects will be prepared from this review. Staff is requesting that the Board assess and make <br /> any amendment recommendations of the Plan. Item will remain on the agenda until all items in <br /> the plan have been addressed. <br /> No action was taken by the BoartL <br /> Ambassadors Report: <br /> Easler reported that Green and Sustainable Clive has a tentative Board of Directors. They have <br /> been laying out a plan for manageable projects for 2013 to coincide with the Greenbelt <br /> restoration that is called for in the Comprehensive Plan. One project under consideration is to <br /> select a plot of land and restore the quality of that area to inspire interest in the community to <br /> continue to sustain other areas of the Greenbelt. Periodic articles in the City newsletter will also <br /> be a source of information. <br /> Directors Report: <br /> Staff reported on the progress of the Capital Improvement Projects. In accordance with the <br /> Council's Strategic Plan, they have elected a Council liaison to periodically visit the different <br />
