MINUTES <br /> CLIVE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD <br /> Monday, October 7, 2013 <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 1900 NW 114th Street <br /> Present—Easler, Martin, Reed, Ramundt arrived at 5:33 p.m. <br /> Absent—Crawford, Shetler <br /> In Chairman Shetter's absence, Easler called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m. <br /> Reed made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Martin. All signified aye, motion <br /> approved. <br /> Reed made a motion to approve the consent items, seconded by Ramundt. All signified aye, <br /> motion approved. <br /> There were no citizen presentations. <br /> Country Club Glen Easement: <br /> The lot next to the entrance of Country Club Glen is under review for a possible development. <br /> Clive Community Planner, Alex Pfaltzgraff, was present to provide information regarding the <br /> easement that was issued at the time of platting and changes to that easement. No action was <br /> required from the Board. <br /> Commercial Park Use Permit: <br /> Recreation Supervisors McKenzie Kiger and Doug Harris led the discussion regarding the City <br /> Council's goal to develop a fee structure for commercial service provider's use of the City's park <br /> facilities. Staff was seeking direction from the Board and will take further action on their input <br /> and report back at the next meeting. <br /> 2013 Trail Replacement and Repair Plan: <br /> Staff examined the trail from 73rd Street to the western portions of the City and developed a five- <br /> year replacement/repair schedule and is seeking the Board's approval of the plan. For future <br /> consideration, Ramundt suggested seeking contributions from businesses or private individuals <br /> wanting to donate items to place along the trail (e.g. rest stations with benches, trash cans and/or <br /> dog stations). Staff will research areas of the trail that these may be added. <br /> Ramundt made a motion to approve the plan, seconded by Reed. All signified aye, motion <br /> approved. <br /> Council Presentation— Greenbelt Trail and Park System Plan: <br /> The City Manager has requested Board Members present their recommendation to the City <br /> Council regarding the Greenbelt Trail and Park System Plan that was approved by the Board <br /> earlier this year. Staff requested the Board's availability to participate in this effort by meeting <br /> to review what will be presented to Council prior to the next Park Board and City Council <br /> meetings. <br />
