Clive City Council Meeting <br /> Regular Session <br /> October 16, 2014 <br /> The regular meeting of the Clive City Council was held Thursday, October 16, 2014 in the Clive City <br /> Hall Council Chambers. Mayor Pro Tern Edwards presided and called the meeting to order at 6:00 <br /> p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Council members present were: John Edwards, Eric Klein, <br /> Michael McCoy, Ted Weaver. Absent: Susan Judkins, Mayor Cirksena. <br /> Klein moved to approve the agenda, seconded by McCoy. Roll Call: Ayes: Edwards, Klein, McCoy, <br /> Weaver. Nays: None. <br /> Mayor Pro Tern Edwards presented Jim Wine a plaque in appreciation of his years of service as City <br /> Attorney from January 3, 1991 to August 21, 2014. <br /> Sally Dix, Executive Director, gave an update on Bravo Greater Des Moines. <br /> Councilmember Judkins arrived at 6:12 p.m. <br /> Craig Erickson, 1601 48th St., West Des Moines gave an update for the Clive Chamber. <br /> Klein moved to approve the consent items and those Resolutions contained therein, seconded by <br /> Weaver. 6a. Roll Call: Ayes: Edwards, <br /> Judkins, Klein, McCoy, Weaver. Nays: None. Motion carried. <br /> Chief Venema gave a presentation providing an overview of the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program <br /> initiative. <br /> Klein moved that Ordinance No. 992, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> OF THE CITY OF CLIVE, IOWA 2008, BY AMENDING PROVISIONS PERTAINING TO MINORS IN <br /> CERTAIN ESTABLISHMENTS having been considered by the council for the third time, be placed <br /> upon its passage and adopted, seconded by Weaver. Roll Call Ayes: Judkins, Klein, Weaver. Nays: <br /> McCoy. Abstain: Edwards. Motion carried. <br /> Mayor Pro Tern Edwards declared Ordinance No. 992 to be enacted. <br />
