Nays: none. <br /> Citizen presentation: Nona. <br /> Premmntmton--UpdatefronnGrwemand Sustainable Clive: <br /> Jennifer Easier from Green and Sustainable Clive was present to update the Board on events and <br /> projects the committee will be undertaking. <br /> a. Emerald Ash Borer Seminar to be held Monday, May 11 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Clive City <br /> Hall toinform residents how to protect andtreat affected ash trees ontheir property. <br /> Program iapresented byTrees Forever. <br /> b. Earth Day/Arbor Day activities planned for April City of Clive park maintenancestaff to <br /> partner with Walnut Creek Campus to planttreeoindesignohad |ooationsintheCity. Trash <br /> Bash will be held again to help remove invasive species and pick up trash in areas of heavy <br /> accumulation. <br /> o. Seeking to work with Walnut Creek Watershed Management Authority as it evolves and the <br /> Greenbelt Comprehensive planning activities that are underway sothe committee's activities <br /> are structured accordingly. The Walnut Creek Watershed Coalition has obtained grant <br /> funding for signage tobeposted near the creek. Easier will work with Park Manager Jeff <br /> Thie|en in regard to placement ofthe signs in the Greenbelt. <br /> Old Business: None. <br /> New Business: <br /> a Election of Officers—Shelter nominated Scott Crawford as chairperson and Diana Reed <br /> aavice chairperson. <br /> Raonundfmade omotion bu approve the nomination, seconded by3hetlec Ayes: Bell, <br /> Crawford, Ran7undt, Reed, She0or, Weiler Nays: none. <br /> � <br /> b. Campbell Pk Alcoholic Beverage Sales Current policy allows participantstobring <br /> their own alcoholic beverages into the park and is allowed by park ordinance. Staff has <br /> received numerous requests to have beer available for purchase at the concession stand <br /> during adult leagues and tournaments. An alcohol manual that establishes rules and <br /> regulations (template from City of Ankeny)was provided for the board to review. Liability <br /> and legal concerns were expressed by the board and will be researched by Clive's city <br /> attorney. Leisure Services Director Todd Seaman will email the Board the city attorney's <br /> Shettern/edeamnbonbhmtbheakcoho/be allowed to be brought into the park along with <br /> Clive Parks and Recreation oe0n datCampbell Park concessions but with the stipulation <br /> � <br /> that weadvise legal anh7anypotentia//saueabhatrnayoo/neup get direction from them <br /> as well, seconded byBeff Ayes: Bell, Crawford, Rarnundt, Reed, Shetler, Weiler.
