The neighbor was not in support of the variance.
The applicant has operated a dog daycare business in this location for approximately four
years. They operated out of approximately half the space until they were able to buy the
property and now occupy the entire building. They would now like to expand the outdoor
exercise area, allowing for additional capacity. Under the current ordinance, a 10 foot
setback is required for the outdoor exercise area. Given those requirements, the outdoor
exercise area could be expanded to approximately 3,800 square feet. The applicant is
requesting a 5 foot setback, which would allow for an additional 600 square feet of outdoor
exercise area.
