Secondary access is through the Chili's parking lot via an <br />ingress/egress easement. Therefore, the Wildwood Lodge actually has no frontage on a public street and <br />technically is not permitted any building signage. <br />Although building signage is based on the amount of linear building frontage on a public street, the City <br />Council approved the Wildwood Lodge signage request during Site Plan approval on June 15, 1995. Their <br />approval was appropriate because building signage in C-6 districts at that time was under the sole <br />discretion of the City Council. That provision has since changed from Council discretion to signage <br />permitted based on specific dimensional and setback criteria. Deviation from those standards requires a <br />variance from the Board of Adjustments. <br />Wildwood Lodge is requesting a variance to permit construction of a second building sign on the north side <br />of their existing hotel. The sign would be the same size (approximately 91.5 square feet) and have the <br />
