Clive <br />Community Development <br />1900 NW 114th ST <br />Clive, IA 50325 <br />(515)223-6221 <br />(515)457-3091 Fax <br /> <br />BUILDING CODE APPEALS BOARD <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />January 18, 2018 <br />The Chair and Vice -Chair are no longer members of the board, therefore, HARRINGTON <br />CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 5:38 P.M. <br />PRESENT: MUNGER, WEBSTER, HARRINGTON <br />ABSENT: BAARDA, THOMPSON <br />STAFF: MAYER, RIVERA <br />Election of Officers <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY WEBSTER, SECONDED BY MUNGER to elect Terry Harrington <br />as Chairman and <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY MUNGER, SECONDED BY HARRINGTON to elect Larry <br />Webster as Vice-chairman <br />VOTE: YES - UNANIMOUS (for both motions) <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY WEBSTER, SECONDED BY MUNGER to approve July 20, 2017 <br />minutes <br />VOTE: YES - UNANIMOUS <br />Munger asked about the status of the case detailed on the July 20, 2017 meeting. Mayer <br />stated staff has worked with the applicant and May 15, 2018 is the deadline to have a fence <br />in place or the pond made smaller. If he does not make the changes, a municipal infraction <br />will be issued by the city attorney. <br />Summary of Procedures <br />Since some of the board members present are new to the board, Mayer discussed <br />procedures and what to expect at meetings. <br />Rental Program <br />Mayer presented the board with information on the rental program as it exists today and <br />possible changes/what to expect in the future. <br />Being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 6:19 p.m. <br />
