<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />CLIVE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD <br />MONDAY, March 5, 2007 <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />TH <br />1900 NW 114 STREET <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman Lancaster called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />Present – <br />Crawford,Easler,Lancaster,Wisnieski <br /> <br /> <br />Absent – <br />Otte, Wenman <br /> <br />Wisnieski moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Crawford. All signified aye, <br />motion approved <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />Easler moved to approve the consent items, seconded by Wisnieski. All signified <br />aye, motion approved <br />. <br /> <br />Lorenzen arrived at 5:39 p.m. <br /> <br />Citizen Presentations- <br />Susan Pohl and Jo Hudson, Central Iowa Sierra Club addressed the Board with <br />concerns regarding Garlic Mustard growing in the Greenbelt area. The Board was <br />asked to consider options to help with eliminating the weed. <br /> <br />Board recommended for staff to consider options that could possibly help in this matter. <br /> <br />Stonegate Park Plans- <br /> <br />Jennifer Richmond, Consultant, Genus Landscape Architects, was available to answer <br />questions regarding modifications that the Board had previously requested for Scheme <br />D. Staff shared the final two proposals for landscape structures, noting that a <br />neighborhood meeting would be held to assist with the final choice. <br /> <br />Wisnieski moved to approve plans as presented based on neighborhood meeting, <br />seconded by Easler. All signified aye, motion approved. <br /> <br />“Clive After Five” Special Event- <br />Jeff Steinmetz, Clive Jaycees Representative, asked for the Board’s approval for the <br />Clive After Five Event, held in Linnan Park, for 14 dates beginning May 4, 2007. <br /> <br />Wisnieski moved to approve event as presented with an additional portable toilet <br />being placed in a designated area, seconded by Lorenzen. All signified aye, motion <br />approved. <br /> <br /> <br />
