<br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />CLIVE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD <br />MONDAY, July 2, 2007 <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />TH <br />1900 NW 114 STREET <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman Lancaster called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />Present – <br />Crawford, Easler,Lancaster, Lorenzen, Otte, Wenman <br /> <br /> <br />Absent – <br />Wisnieski <br /> <br />Easler moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Wenman. All signified aye, motion <br />approved. <br /> <br /> <br />Easler moved to approve the consent items, seconded by Lorenzen. All signified aye, <br />motion approved. <br /> <br />There were no citizen presentations. <br /> <br />Stone Wall Entrance Sign at Woodlands Creek Senior Living Community – <br />th <br />In 2004 the Board approved vacating the Children’s Forest property at 128 and <br />Woodlands Parkway subject to the Board’s future approval of a site plan with signage <br />for the Campbell Recreation Area and treatment of existing landscaping in the <br />Children’s Forest area. Staff shared plans recently submitted by the developer for <br />entrance walls and possible signage. A landscaping plan was not available at this time. <br /> <br />Board expressed that the Campbell Recreation Area sign needs to be separated from the <br />Senior Living Community signage. Board requested to see a landscaping plan that also <br />shows how many existing trees would be moved as part of the improvement. Staff will <br />return with a plan for the Board to review at a future meeting. <br /> <br />Plaques for Donated Items- <br />Brian Wall installed a bench on the Greenbelt Trail as part of his Eagle Scout Project. <br />He has requested the Board’s consideration to allow him to place a recognition plaque <br />on the bench. Staff shared photos of other plaques and signs that are currently in our <br />parks. <br /> <br />Easler made a motion for staff to develop a policy for uniform design of plaques, <br />seconded by Otte. All signified aye, motion approved. Staff will bring policy to next <br />Board meeting. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
