<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br />CLIVE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD <br />Monday, November 9, 2009 <br />Council Chambers <br />th <br /> 1900 NW 114 Street <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman Otte called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Present <br />–Barnes,Crawford, Easler, Klein, Lancaster, Otte <br />Absent <br /> – Reed <br /> <br />Lancaster made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Klein. All signified aye, <br />motion approved. <br /> <br />Easler made a motion to approve the consent items, seconded by Lancaster. All signified <br />aye, motion approved. <br /> <br />There were no citizen presentations. <br /> <br />Public Art Discussion- <br />Lisa Schmidt, Assistant City Manager, presented an update on public art projects. The Board <br />was asked for future site suggestions within the park and trail system. Campbell Recreation <br />Area, the Aquatic Center and the town center area were mentioned as possible locations. As <br />the public art program is further defined, discussions will continue for future locations in the <br />parks. <br /> <br /> 2010-2011 Operating Budget - <br />Proposed revenues and expenses were reviewed. Minimal increase is reflected in the proposed <br />totals for the 2010-2011 Budget. Staff suggested addition of portable toilet rental, during <br />months when water is disconnected, at Campbell Recreation Area and the Greenbelt Park <br /> <br />Lancaster made a motion to approve the proposed budget, including the addition of portable <br />toilet rentals at Campbell Recreation Area and the Greenbelt Park. Easler seconded the <br />motion. All signified aye, motion approved. <br /> <br />Intentional Feeding of Deer Prohibited Ordinance- <br />Responses are being gathered from the City Newsletter request regarding this issue. Residents <br />th <br />are also invited to attend the December 7 Board Meeting to share input. The Board was asked <br />for questions and comments to be referred to Legal Counsel for advice. The Ordinance <br />addresses the use of salt blocks and intentionally putting bags of feed out. Further discussion <br />regarding the ordinance will take place at the December meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
