<br /> <br /> MINUTES <br />CLIVE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD <br />Monday, June 7, 2010 <br />Clive Aquatic Center – Special Events Building <br />th <br /> 1801 NW 114 Street <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman Crawford called the meeting to order at 5:47 p.m. <br /> <br />Present – <br />Barnes, Crawford, Martin, Postma, Reed, Weaver <br /> <br />Absent – <br />Guisinger <br /> <br />Barnes made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Postma. All signified aye, motion <br />approved. <br /> <br />Reed made a motion to approve the consent items, seconded by Barnes. All signified aye, <br />motion approved. <br /> <br />There were no citizen presentations. <br /> <br />Clive Festival <br />Staff reviewed the application for a special event submitted by Eric Klein, President of the <br />Clive Festival. The Board asked several questions of staff and took a brief break before Mr. <br />Klein arrived after 6:00 pm. Mr. Klein reviewed the plans from the festival committee and <br />answered questions concerning the number of portable toilets, fencing off areas, entertainment <br />times and need for staff assistance. <br /> <br />Postma moved approval of the requests for the Clive Festival for Friday evening at Linnan <br />and Saturday evening at the Aquatic Center, including staff recommendation to move the <br />th <br />family free swim night to coincide with the Festival on July 17. Barnes seconded the <br />motion and all signified aye, the motion was approved. <br /> <br />Tour Aquatic Center and other City Parks <br />Staff reviewed areas proposed for the Board to tour and handed out maps of the City for the <br />Board to use. The Board toured the Aquatic Center before rains postponed the remainder of <br />the tour until July 12, 2010. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 7:23. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
