<br /> <br /> MINUTES <br />CLIVE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD <br />Monday, August 2, 2010 <br />Council Chambers <br />th <br /> 1900 NW 114 Street <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman Crawford called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m. <br /> <br />Present – <br />Barnes, Crawford, Martin, Postma, Reed <br /> <br />Absent – <br />Guisinger <br /> <br />Barnes made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Reed. All signified aye, motion <br />approved. <br /> <br />Postma made a motion to approve the consent items, seconded by Martin. All signified aye, <br />motion approved. <br /> <br />There were no citizen presentations. <br /> <br />REAP Grant Application <br />The Grant Application was reviewed. Funding assistance is being sought to connect the <br />Greenbelt Trail to the Aquatic Center through construction of a bridge over Walnut Creek. <br /> <br />Reed moved to approve the REAP Grant Application. Postma seconded the motion, all <br />signified aye, the motion was approved. <br /> <br />2010-2011 Deer Management Program <br />At April’s meeting the Park Board approved continuation of the Deer Management Program <br />for 2010-2011. Discussion was held regarding options to help increase harvest numbers. <br /> <br /> <br />Reed made a motion to extend the season from October 30through January 30, adding <br />Saturday and Sunday mornings from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Barnes seconded the motion, <br />all signified aye, the motion was approved. <br /> <br />Waukee Trail Connection to Lions Park <br />The City of Waukee is applying for REAP Grant assistance to finish their trail connection to <br />Clive’s Lions Park. <br /> <br />Reed made a motion to approve Waukee’s request, Barnes seconded the motion, all signified <br />aye, the motion approved. <br /> <br />Fun Run <br />St. Francis of Assisi has requested to host their group’s “Fun Run” at Campbell Recreation <br />Area. <br /> <br /> <br />
