All signified aye, motion <br />approved. <br /> <br />Postma made a motion to approve the consent items, seconded by Barnes. All signified aye, <br />motion approved. <br /> <br />There were no citizen presentations. <br /> <br />Consideration of Special Event/Woofin-It 5K Run- <br />Clive Jaycee Representatives, Susan Anderson and Brad Stuber, requested that the fundraising <br />event be held May 14, 2011. The route will begin at Campbell Recreation Area with Clive <br />streets and trail being used. A site plan was presented showing event set-up in the park and <br />parking lot. With funds raised from the event, a donation will be made to Furry Friends No- <br />Kill Animal Shelter. Dog waste will be addressed by pet-oriented business sponsors and <br />volunteers from Furry Friends or the Clive Jaycees. <br /> <br />*Easler arrived at 5:33 p.m. <br /> <br />Reed made a motion to approve the request, subject to group being accountable for clean-up. <br /> <br />Barnes seconded the motion. All signified aye, motion approved. <br /> <br />Consideration of Pass Donation Requests- <br />Two applications were submitted from Valley High School After-Prom Committee and Des <br />Moines Mothers of Multiples. <br /> <br />Barnes made a motion to award Valley High School After-Prom Committee and Des Moines <br />Mothers of Multiples 25 passes each. Easler seconded the motion. All signified aye, motion <br />approved. <br /> <br />Consideration of Revisions to the Parks and Recreation Board Bylaws- <br />Staff presented proposed bylaw revisions. Revisions would allow Board members to choose <br />which standing committee they would like to serve on versus being specifically assigned as <br />bylaws currently state. <br />Mayor Cirksena asked that a standing committee be formed for community celebrations and <br />festivals. <br /> <br />Easler suggested that a minimum of two committee members be appointed to Public Relations <br />for the purpose of sharing meeting responsibilities, and at least one member appointed to all <br />remaining committees. <br /> <br />
