RESOLUTION NO. 1 p2 S <br /> RESOLUTION TEMPORARILY CLOSING PORTIONS OF <br /> INDIAN HILLS DRIVE AND NW 94TH COURT FOR <br /> THE CLIVE RUNNING FESTIVAL <br /> WHEREAS, the Clive Running Festival Committee has petitioned <br /> the City Council to close portions of said Streets on Saturday, <br /> May 19, 1984 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and; <br /> WHEREAS, said request is made in an effort by said Running <br /> Festival Committee to increase safety of race participants and the <br /> public during the Clive Running Festival to be held by them on said <br /> date and at such time along Indian Hills Drive and NW 94th Court and; <br /> • WHEREAS, the closing of these sections will not create undue <br /> problems for local traffic; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of <br /> Clive, Iowa; <br /> 1. Subject to the provisions of paragraphs 2 and 3 below <br /> having first been met, the City Council of the City of <br /> Clive, Iowa, hereby closes Indian Hills Drive from NW <br /> 96th Street to NW 92nd Street, and NW 94th Court from <br /> University Avenue to Indian Hills Drive between 7:00 a.m <br /> and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 1984, to through <br /> traffic. <br /> 2. This Resolution shall be of no force and effect unless <br /> the sponsors of the Clive Running Festival Committee <br /> shall first obtain those barricades of the type and <br /> number required by the Director of Public Works of the <br /> city of Clive, Iowa. Said delivery to be at a time and <br /> place so designated by said Director. <br /> 3. No immobile obstacles that would limit or significantly <br /> slow access to emergency vehicles shall be placed in the <br /> traveled portion of the street, nor shall any property <br /> owners be denied access to their property during the <br /> period when said streets are closed. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED THIS3a DAY OF , 1984. <br /> 8.T % 9 <br /> MA O' <br /> S • T■ <br /> ITYUCLERK <br /> • <br />
