111 <br /> 1 <br /> RESOLUTION 9/_ Z2 <br /> RESOLUTION TEMPORARILY CLOSING PORTIONS OF INDIAN HILLS DRIVE, <br /> 93RD COURT AND 94TH COURT FOR THE CLIVE RUNNING FESTIVAL <br /> WHEREAS, the Clive Running Festival Committee has petitioned the <br /> City Council to close portions of said streets on Saturday, May <br /> 18, 1991 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.; and <br /> WHEREAS, said request is made in an effort by said Running <br /> Festival Committee to increase safety of race participants and <br /> the public during the Clive Running Festival to be held by them <br /> on said date and at such time along Indian Hills Drive; and <br /> WHEREAS, the closing of these sections will not create undue <br /> problems for local traffic; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> CLIVE, IOWA: <br /> 1. Subject to the provisions of paragraph 2 and 3 below having <br /> first been met, the Clive, Iowa City Council, hereby closes <br /> the following streets to through traffic: 93rd Court and <br /> 94th Court between Indian Hills Dr. & Univ.; Indian Hill Dr. <br /> from 96th St. to 92nd St. between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. <br /> on Saturday, May 18, 1991. <br /> 2. This Resolution shall be of no force and effect unless the <br /> sponsors of the Clive Running Festival Committee shall first <br /> obtain those barricades of the type and number required by <br /> the Director of Public Works of the City of Clive, Iowa. <br /> Said delivery to be at a time and place so designated by <br /> said Director. <br /> 3. No immobile obstacles that would limit or significantly slow <br /> access to emergency vehicles shall be placed in the traveled <br /> portion of the street, nor shall any property owners be <br /> denied access to their property during the period when said <br /> streets are closed. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED THIS DAY OF , 1991 <br /> / <br /> .4 4 L. <br /> O.
